It is berry season and I can not think of a better breakfast that is more nutrient dense, cleansing, refreshing, and fiber-rich than a fresh berry bowl for breakfast! Truly a superior choice than processed cereal especially when you have extra berries on hand! This recipe was inspired by Dr. Fuhrman’s nutrient dense 10 in 20 detox program.
1 serving
1 1/2 cups of fresh blueberries
1/2 cup unsweetened soy, flax, hemp, or almond milk
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon ground flax or hemp seeds
Top berries with milk, nuts, and sprinkle with seeds. For men, increase the nuts to 1/4 of a cup.
