I personally do not like the word “diet” there is too much negative stigma around “dieting” and “calorie counting”. I NEVER count calories for health or weight loss. No, no, no. You are pretty much destined to succeed at weight loss then fail. I choose to be healthy. That is my goal. I do not live life by counting and restricting. My taste buds have changed. I enjoy raw onions and mushrooms now! I do not have a craving for cheese, chocolate, and coffee. I do not consider myself to be truly 100% vegan, however everything on this blog is vegan with some raw food recipes 🙂 I consider myself a Nutritarian! A name coined by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. I seek out, create, and devour the most delightful plant-based nutrient rich foods to keep my immune system at it’s peak. The pay-off is tremendous! I have energy, I am at my optimal weight, I do not get colds like most people do, and I have not had the flu once this 2012-2015 flu season (which usually runs October – April). I have taken care of one person with the flu. Namely, my sister.
Anyways, onto the good stuff!
